About Erin
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change” – Carl R. Rogers
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC#48385) in Carlsbad, North San Diego County, California with over 15 years of experience, I trust that I can help you overcome your struggles while creating lasting, positive changes in your life. Here is my story.
I was born with a curious spirit and an incredible desire to help others. From a young age I gravitated towards those who looked lonely or in need or support. I was particularly interested in couples dynamics and relational issues. This naturally led me to the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. After completing my M.A. in Marriage and Family therapy, I went on to receive my PsyD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University (also known as California School of Professional Psychology). I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in both Communications and Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
I grew up in San Diego, California but have lived in Australia, Costa Rica and on a boat circumnavigating the world. Many describe me as an avid traveler, but I choose to see myself as a curious explorer. I have traveled to over 70 countries while fulfilling my goal of learning the life stories of people from many different cultures. Travel has changed me and helped shape my experiential style of therapy.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 12 years, and together we have two wildly adventurous and loving sons and one adorable daughter. I am now satisfying my hearts desire by supporting individuals, couples and families who are in need of therapeutic guidance.
I look forward to hearing your story and invite you to call me for a complimentary phone consultation.
